I finally got around to getting my '06 in the shop, and having the engine pulled to fix that one damn locked in stud. So, the shop got it done, and did a fantastic job, no shortcuts that I could see, and best of all, ticking be gone!
While I was in the mood to swipe my debit card, I also took it in and had the factory resonator and muffler removed, and a Flowmaster 50 series delta flow installed, with a 18" long 3.5" tip taking the place of the factory tailpipe. When the resonator and the muffler hit the floor, it was heard all through the building....the thing MUST have weighed 50 pounds. That really perked up the V8 quite a bit, and I'm pretty happy with the deep.mellow tone it has.
Lousy picture, but the only one I have right now -
Is it just me, or is the factory resonator and muffler really restrictive?
