Hello all, I have a couple questions for you fine people here.
I have an '01 Sport Trac 2wd and have been having "THE ISSUE" it seems. I have done an exhaustive search of thousands of posts about this blinking light slipping problem.
Things I know:
1. The error codes 733/734
2. Incorrect Gear Ratio (3-4th)
3. Transmission slipping in the corresponding gears to the error codes.
4. I gave my mother my Sport Trac a few months ago because she gave me a lot (single Mom) growing up and has been forced to drive crappy cars for a long time because she has been helping me... (trying to appeal to the heartstrings of you members...ha)
She is 3.5 hours away from me (she is in Mobile Alabama) so I can't necessarilly pop over and check it all out in person.
My main question is this: has anyone gotten codes like this and what was the outcome of the aforementioned code issue?
Secondary question: Anyone have a trusted Transmission Mechanic(s) or know of one in the Mobile, AL area? When I say trusted I really mean one that wants to FIX the problem - just what's necessary - do a little homework and not just rake my dear sweet mother over the coals because they need to put turbo chargers on their Cigarette Boat or something.
Any information would be MUCH appreciated both by myself and my lovely sweet mother.
