Ok so i just got my income tax money. I have $1300 that i have budgeted myself on for the project. Im putting on 2 new OEM rockers, 2 doglegs, core support, hood and repainting the entire truck. Im searching around for the best prices of all the body pannels that i need but they all seem very high in price or look cheap. Does anyone know of a good place to get the body panels? Thanks for any help. One i get everything i need i will be posting my progress till complete as she returns to her former state.

Bump.....anyone?

Try LMC truck. They have all kinds of body parts for these trucks. Only thing is I hope you have a 4-door. 2-door rockers, quarters, and other parts are hard to find (non-existent). If you find any in your searches, let me know. I have been looking for 2-door sheetmetal for a few years now.

LMC's quality is fairly good from what I hear. Fourwheeler magazine sourced them for their project 'fiery redhead' F150. They commented on how good the panels fit and the quality. I have yet to order body stuff from them, but what I have gotten from them has been good quality.

I am going to be doing the same as you, on two of mine, this spring. Let us know how your project goes. Are you doing it yourself?

Have you tried any of the 'You-Pull-It' yards in your area? They'll charge a fraction of the price as a retailer, but no guarantee of the condition.

Yeah condition is the main problem. Its all the Michigan salt my anoying state uses. Ive been to some junkyards looking for other parts and scoped out a few 1st gen boddies and they are as far gone or worse than mine.

WOW. was at the Ford dealer today to get an oil change and a free tire rotation and out as i waited i walkd over to the Body Shop office. I askd the guy to look up all the parts im replaceing. Now i can get all the parts i need from LMC for around $435....(make sure your sitting down for the ford price) Roughly 2500-3000. WTF!!!!! Bout droped dead after i laughd and told the guy to screw off.

Did you purchase yet?

I got mine from Mill Supply Co in Cleveland, OH. Don't know how close you are but if you drive there you don't have any shipping to pay. I got my two full rockers for $72/ea and the two dog legs for $49/ea.

Their website isn't the easiest to navigate but the panels look good and the prices were excellent:

Thanks....yeah ill look more into it when i get home from work today. I havent bought yet.

I recently did all this work that you're looking to start. I bought LMC parts and couldn't be happier. The biggest thing that I didn't expect when replacing my rusted out doglegs was that the back "inside" area was completely gone. This is more due to ignorance, I guess, but I had to scramble around for some pieces of sheet metal to patch in before being able to install the doglegs and rocker arms.

LOL i know its a *****....im planing for the worst just to be safe on mine. Its the same on the inside of both of my doglegs as well. I need the entire back piece for the rockers as well but will just fab them up myself. I think LMC is the way i will be going since i want a couple other things from them too.

Well still in the search for the best prices but leaning toward LMC truck. To be gin the process i just got all my new gaskets for the engine. Lower intake, upper intake, and both valve covers. Painting the engine titamium silver with gloss black valve covers and upper intake. Ill post a pic of befor and after. Curently it will be put on hold tho, coing to Colorado for a vacation.

havent been on in a few days. Got called back to work so the EDDIE might be delayed a little bit. It sucks because i wanted to start on her but im glad im going back to work. I need the money after all ive spent on parts. Ill post more when i get back on her.

WOW really delayed on my wants to get the Eddie into the O.R. Work has been my priority lately with other mechanical problems the Eddie has left me to fix. Blew thru about $500 on parts to get the meechanical aspect of her fixed after the rough winter. Hopefuly work will be slowing down and the surgurey will back to priority.
