The First Gen 5.0 swap info thread....Information needed please.

There are a few things I need to know.Preferably from people who have done it.I need to know what kind of tranny you used, and did it work with your T-Case or do I need to swap that too.Is there a tranny that will work with the existing T-Case or will it not handle 5.0 power? I was thinking of getting a carbeurated 5.0 from a wrecker, and throwing a cam, Intake and Big 4-barrel on there.Any firsthand info will help.

I just read the "Chief is allmost a 302" thread.Too much $$$$$ and time.I'm buying a Durango or a Bronco.

Get the bronco. I looked at Durango's before i bought my X. Basically its a good truck with a tranny thats just as sorry as the A4LD.

noooooooooooooooooooooo! No more bad trannys! I looked on all the Durango sites(Kinda like this one but for Durango's) and I could not find one lifted one.There must be a reason.Bronco it is! A big one, not a BII.

Find a full size 95 Bronco..that's the last year for the Big ol' Broncs.

They had two engines, the 302 and the 351; Personally, I would have to be convinced to go with a 351 over a 302 but that's just me. 302's are strong and it's so easy to find parts for them.

I always kind of liked the looks of the old Durangos. The new Durango is an abomination and should be taken out behind the barn and shot just like the H2.

I agree....they look like a stylized minivan.
