I'm not sure where it's at but I know mine got replaced the same time as my tires because of a re-call on it and I got 3-4 mpg better.

fuel pressure regulator

The fuel pressure regulator is on the passengers side, right along side the vavle cover, kind of in a tricky place,on line is vacume, one line is gas.80 dollars from autozone, should take about 20 min.to change.Made a world of difference on my 92 with 107000 miles.Hope this helps Brad in Iowa

OOps almost forgot if there is gas in the vacume line that means the regulator is shot.Mine ran like **** intill I changed it,truck runs great now.Later Brad in Iowa

Hi and the big thanks for the info, you did say that your car run badly,, mine runs ecellent, only problem is that i get an 9 miles / gallon, and here in Sweden an gallon is about 3,25 USD - carecomomy relly sucks.

Did your car run bad at all rpm´s?

Thanks again / Mats

Thanks for the info,, just one question: Did your car run normally before the replacement?

Regards Mats

Only at start up,smelled like raw gas coming out of exaust, changed o2 did not help changed regulator and it ran great 5 miles better to the gallon too.Hope this helps.Brad in Iowa

Also if your exhaust tip looks black from all the carbon build up, it could be the fuel pressure regulator.
