It was a 2004 Eddie Bauer which served us well. Now at 155K and 21 years old she gave up. I drove it for 8yrs, my son had it for another 8yrs, and my daughter for 5 years. It was a great buy back in 2005 for $24k with only 5k on the clock.
Went down with Low Oil pressure, Overheat condition, and a toasted transmission with no reverse. Things that went wrong through the years: to many wheel bearings to count, rebuilt transmission (@60k), struts, suspension, Steering rack, Fuel pump, two minor accidents, 4 gallons of oil in the carpet, rusted out rocker panels etc. I’d guess I put in about $10k for all it, I can’t complain it was well worth it.
Many posts on her, thanks for all the help. The family still has the ’10 Trac and ’10 Mounty. But I moved on to an Escape Hybrid.
