I just wanted to share some of my regrets I'm feeling for my first X that I sold for some stupid reason. She was a 99 Sport with 188,000 miles but still ran like a champ. Everything worked. The interior was IMMACULATE! The paint, had crows feet, but still very nice. I bought it for a song and dance and only sold it because its failed inspection for tires and I didn't think it was worth the $500 in rubber. Idiot! Looking back, that should have just been my excuse to lift it. I know this thread is entirely useless but I still felt the need to post it. I've included some pictures for better understanding.

It looks pretty nice! The pavement looks clean, so it didn't leak any fluid. Is it possible to make a deal with this guy to buy it back? It's hard to believe that it has almost 200K miles.

That looks like the sport version of mine almost... I'd be gutted too, cos it was gorgeous... you should try n get it back...

I would love a sport but they were never sold here...

It sure was one clean machine! I like the instrument panel shot; the camera shutter was in time with the THEFT light! The transmission pointer appears to be a little off tho.

I know how you feel, I had an 89 Crown Victoria that was my parent's. They decided that they didn't want it anymore after an issue with the radiator and going to places like Firestone tire for service. While it needed paint work (what I later learned was the clearcoat peeling) and had a rip in the drivers seat, everything else was in great condition and with some work it'd been fine.

What a clean truck!!! Wow. If my Sport had looked and run like that I wouldn't be driving my 3rd Gen right now.

Sorry, not to trying to rub it in. As mentioned above, you should see if its possible to buy it back.

Yeah it was great, I sold it about 1 year and half back to the shadiest character on the planet so a buy back is impossible. Yes the transmission pointer was off, but it didn't bother me none.

So do you have any modification plans for the 03?

Not really, I'd like to keep it the way it is for now. Besides there really isn't much I can do and still keep it my easy daily driver. I would like to pick up a beater though and jack it way up. (Seeing the pics of my old sport set in this thought because I only paid $1,000 for it.) How about you?

I've upgraded to 265/75R16 BFG AT's so far. My Roadbully lift has been ordered. Magnaflow exhaust with K&N drop in and modded airbox is done. All silencers pulled off the intake.

Looking to get an Auburn Gear ected LSD/electric locker and SCT Xcal3 for it as well. I also have all the stuff to do the brown wire mod.

As for interior, I've added a Cobra CB. More plans will develop over time I'm sure.

I had a 98 Sport. Loved it. It had the TT done, 4 door leaf packs with add-a-leaf, shackles, Aussie locker, BWM, 32" Dick Cepek Mud County's...but mine needed A LOT of work so I dumped it and got the 05.

I hate thinking of stuff after I sell it, cus chances are, they wont take care of it wortha ****.

Ive had my 92 on CL before I got my 95, and then had so many bites, then had 2nd thoughts and refused to sell it to this day still haha

I have an 01 explorer, its in pretty good condition, closing in on 80k miles, kelly BB says I'd get somewhere around 4k for it, and the government will give me 4500 for it supposedly with this new cash for clunkers deal (i would never call it a clunker but apparently it is to Obama)...what do you folks think? Leaning towards keeping it till it dies due to the fact that I have a short commute and I just put a 1700 tranny rebuild into the thing.
