The Plastic things on the sides of the front seats

I know this sounds stupid, but here goes. My 94 Limited has a broken side panel at the bottom of the seat(for lack of a proper term). This is the panel that holds the switches for adjustments and lumbar support. It is broken neatly in half and I have removed the screws..I cant get it far enought foreward to remove the phillips screws that hold the switches on...am I missing something ?? I have a good plan (or at least I think it is) to repair these and need to get them in my shop to start the process.
