96 LTD V8 AWD SOLD!
I just got off the phone with my guy who is upgrading the X. It seems that the poly bushing kit supplied by Suspension Connection of Utah contains wrong parts. This after 3 phone calls and numerous e-mails to confirm with the dummies that when it says 91-94 on the label it might not fit my 96. This is a Daystar kit and if you want my 2c worth neither deserve any business! I now have about 3/4 of the kit to return and I'll be informing AMEX not to pay these shysters anything!

Rant off!

I just collected my X. Most of the poly bushings are going back along with the Accel wires which were also wrong! With the EE sway bars and just the front "polyed" and a new set of balljoints my camber problem is cured and, coupled with the K&N "Hi-Flo"/upgraded MAF, it drives and feels like new. Body lean is gone. Feels solid and now all I need to do is get accustomed to the different feel whilst driving.

How did you know your balljoints were bad?

My 97 also has a camber problem and an occasional rattle over bumps. Trouble is no matter how I yank on it, nothing in the front end sems to be loose. I'm about to disconnect the upper arms and see if I can feel anything that way. I guess I should just replace them on principle with 140K on them.

The lower ball joints seemed to be my problem and only 70K on the truck. These were replaced with greasable fitting so I hope the problem is solved. Looks alone will fool you. My guy acually had to take it all apart to see how bad it was as all the usual tests said just a little wear!
