Well here is the aftermath from the fender bender at the audio shop. How's she look now?

I had the cowl painted to match the truck instead of the dull black look.

How about a hood shot? I didn't get in on the last one, LOL.

Looks great.

Is it finished?

Only thing I would do different is paint the bottom trim red too.

And get some tire dressing on them tires, they are awful :)

I agree. I would paint the black trim in between the front and rear doors. I would also paint the antenna trim (black piece). I still say the truck would look bad arse one color.
The mirrors and cowl look awesome. I know now, that I will go ahead and have them sprayed.

I like the 2 tone. I agree that if it wasn't an Eddie Bauer it would be 1 solid color, but it's not and I am a man of tradition. I asked once before about painting those pieces behind the doors and everyone said it would look bad. So I left it alone. You really think it would look better to paint those red also? About the tire dressing, I am not detailing that thing again until I get it home. Those new tires will have be scrubbed with a brush and some strong soap to get that new coat off of them then some armoral or tire black for them or something. But they still have some minor touch up work to do to the paint, some minor things I saw. You know, being a perfectionist, LOL. Then in the stereo shop it should be no longer than 2 or 3 days, but who knows, LOL.

All looks great Ron, and for those tires, get to a marine store and buy some 303:)

Ronnie, that's the awesome-est looking Explorer I've ever seen. I really love the looks of it. Glad everything worked out the way you wanted. :)

303 Aerospace. It's a vinyl/rubber treatment. Here's a link:

Definitely leave the 2-tone. That looks awesome!

Whats the status on the system install? They gotta be getting close to done.

dang dude, ur ex looks like a 4runner!! looks better than one acctually! is the hood a different color? it looks different in the second pic

It looks awesome, but get rid of those running boards. I had the same ones, they look ugly.

I would not do that. He drives an Eddie Bauer. This is what make the truck. If you have an XLT then you did not have the Eddie Buaer/Limited running boards.
So maybe the ones you had were ugly, and maybe they were ugly in your eyes.

Oh no, never on a Eddie Bauer. I like em. Just like I lovee the 2 tone paint. That was why I got it instead of a limited. Everything is the same color. It's just the way the light reflects on it now. Remember I was doing a detail on it before it got hit or should I say during the time it got hit, LOL.

The system has approx. 2 to 3 days of work left on it now. All the hard stuff is done and just needs to be finished. Which they will start on either tomorrow or Friday when they get it back. It's still at the paint shop right now, they have a couple of spots to take care of for me that I just didn't like the way it turned out. But it sure is close now.

That looks awesome. Now all you need is some diamond cut headlights.

That is just too damn georgous.
The body work looks fantastic.
My opinion, keep the two tone, keep the trim between the doors black ( blends in well with the tint ) paint the antenna bezel ( it pops right off ) and 86 the roof rack.
Sweet truck none the less. You have every right to be proud of it.

The truck looks great but the black antenna thing should be painted red or chrome.

The only suggestion I would make is to remove the pinstripe. It looks great! I hope the repair is as quality as you expected it to be.

Forget all the suggestions Ron, You got what you got, and it looks killer, now, your tires need some attn and you got some dead bugs on the windshield, also the hoodscoop, you need a carbon fiber insert, behind which is a turrett mounted paintball gun with laser sight,is loads of fun to blow away slow drivers
