First off, Rick, if I am overstepping here, just let me know. I really appreciate the sticky for my adapters. I just figured you all may want to know about this as well. :D

After over a year of working on it, I finally have the design of my "Stubler" completely figured out and ready to produce.

For those who don't know, the "Stubler" is a 1350 based gear reduction box. I was partly inspired to work on this by the fact that the T&M model required so many mods to install. This one is only 5 3/4 inches TOTAL! Short enough to clear the fuel tanks in the sports.

You can look here for more info..

Again, thanks Rick!

more info on the stubler look at that site but i need more! :D Is this like the AA Klune that goes between trans and t-case? what is the reduction? what has to be done to put them on? Reliability? and any thing else you can tell me.

Sorry to have let this go without a reply for so long..been really busy.

My stubler bolts between your trans and case to give you an added low range. So far, with 13 units in the public's hands, ZERO complaints or problems!

As of the moment, I am sold out of stock but I am planning another production run soon as long as I get enough interest.

I have Unit #6 in my 88 BII for almost a year now. I only drive it on the trails, so sometimes I'm a little hard on it knowing that I'll trailer it home. I've had zero issues to date with the Stubbler. Although I could probably blame a few broken axle shafts on the Stubler. LOL

what ratio does it give you I'm guessing to deep for my automatic

When do you plan another run on thease, I realy could use one..

x2

I'm guessing to deep for my automatic

You'd love the Stubler with your auto. I have a C-5 in my BII. 4:10 Gears and I run 33's sometimes 35's. It's like an added world to wheeling. Kinda like when you put your first locker in your open diff. LOL

Auto or Standard, Once you put a Stubler or any Doubler in you'll be asking yourself "Why didn't I do this sooner"

really what ratio would it give me
I was wondering if it would work because of having a ratio tooo low that over powers the brakes.. I have heard that you can't run a 4.3 atlas with the auto cause it too low and the brakes won't stop you

I never got why that was a concern, you can always shift it into neutral.

having the option of that low of a ratio sounds great. :D

I talked to this guy a month or so ago and he said he was planning another run of these things after the first of the year. He may have one left that he was going to through in his truck, but never got around to it. Give him a call he may have sold it already.

i was wondering. with a car like mine that has the push button 4wd, can you run the stubler using the bush button 4wd/low range and also install a nuetral on the lever for 2x low? (meaning the lever for the second low range also having a position to put the transfer case in nuetral)

Not sue if this answers you question. For the stubler the easiest way to install it is to use the push button case for the rear case. There is enough slack in the wires to make the strech(from what I've heard). The stubler(front case) is a manual shifted case. You have to fab up your own shifter for it(see firezapper's thread for the shifter). You put the stock transfercase into 4lo with the pushbutton. If the lo range isn't low enough you through the stubler into lo for a ultra low ratio.

looks like i would need to switch to a manual shift tranfer case to get nuetral. i want it for towing. so i need the rear part of the stubler tranfer case to be in neutral (where the drive shaft attaches)

Im interested in another production run of these:p:

I think you would just through the trans in nuetral and have it in 2 wheel to do that.

for towing? i thought you need to put the transfer case in neutral too?
