Hello, I've never really gone too deep into this, i don't know what it really intells, yet.. But.. i was wondering maybe if someone else knew before i really had to rip apart the engine more...

The area where the thermostat goes into, can that actually be replaced with out too much trouble.. I got a bolt busted in one of the holes, a drill bit busted inside of that so.. i need to either replace that whole area, or figure a way to get that fixed...

If anyone has any ideas, please give a hand... i would hate to have to replace the whole block just because of that...

Which motor 5.0 or 4.0? SOHC or OHC? Which bolt?

4.0 OHC.. and it's the bolt on top, outter most (Towards the a/c comp)
I'm thinking probably just need to get drill bits that can drill through steel, use those, a power drill instead of battery operated...

OHC not available in 1995

Your vehicle specs list a 1995 4.0L OHC engine. The SOHC V6 was not available until 1997. Unless you have replaced the stock engine I suspect you have the 4.0L OHV V6. If the 8th digit of your VIN is E then you have the SOHC V6. If it is an X then you have the OHV V6. The thermostat housings for the two engines are different.

Ugh, yea it's the OHV i don't know why i put OHC.. guess wasn't really thinking..

I believe that's the lower manifold, IIRC...probably could get one cheap from a salvage yard, there's tons of the 4.0 OHV motors there, but it's a lot of labor to remove and install.

I'd keep trying to drill it out and only replace the manifold as a last resort, unless you had some reason to pull it off anyway to do head work or something.
