Thermostat Location

Mama- has an 02 with V8-
Need to change thermostat.
Done it on older Fords.
Not sure were it is on on hers.
any hints or links

I have a Thunderbird (which is an almost identical engine BTW) and those thermostat bolts can break off, they are long and go thru the intake into the block. Do not use excessive force to remove them if they don't budge. Use taps on the ratchet and spray down with PB to loosen them, reinstall with some anti-seize, do not overtighten.
