I found these break pedals on another forum. I like them allot and I am going to get some. Here are some pics of them and also a copy of the write-up they did on them. Think we should maybe try and do a group buy on these also? Let me know what you think.
web address is http://www.autovation.net/
This was the write-up from another forum. Of course there Group Buy is over or I would have already gotten them.

The pedals are available in two different finishes: matte and polished. The matte finish is available for $69 with free shipping, and the polished finish is available for $59 with free shipping. In total the savings of each pedal set combined is $30 off retail price plus additional shipping costs!

great looks on your ride!! Are you going to put those on red?! Cant wait to see your newest pics. That's a pretty good price to from what I've seen so far>

yah i love mine

ROFL, I can't believe that yall just let that group buy thing go on without saying 1 word about it to us here. Shame, Shame, Shame, LOL, I just found that site searching for some floor mats with a logo on them by accident. 30 bucks is 30 bucks though, nice discount.

Just how hard were they to install? I saw a few write-ups about allot of metal shavings falling all over, not that it is a big deal, just wondering if it took long to do.

sowy :o

Not hard at all to install, just drill and bolt up

Here is my set installed

i need to buy those, where do i go?

lets start a group buy list, has someone contacted them about it? how many people do we need min?

BBQ,

I believe we have been through this before.

You, or another member, needs to contact the manufacturer and check and see if a group buy is possible. "We" can't set up a group buy. There is no point is spectulating about a buy, or what the price of the buy would be, without input from the manufacturer. The manufacturer needs to be involved in this process. I have done a quick look online, and seen several group buys for the pedals, so the manufacturer SEEMS to be very willing to participate.

The one thing I haven't found is a "street" price for these things. In the "other Explorer" group buy, the manufacturer said the retail price for the Matte finish was $89 + s&h, but I haven't been able to find any places that actually sells these things to confirm that that is the normal retail price.

Anyone know of a "real" price on these things somewhere?

I've looked everywhere for these darn things....then they show up here! Thanks for finding them, but I agree, I wish someone would have mentioned the previous group buy.
I am interested in getting these too.
Ken
I just checked out the website. Nice looking site with some pretty good looking, quality parts.
QUESTION: The site only shows plain pedals. Was the engraved 'EXPLORER' and extra thing? Special order? More money? Just wondering since I could not find any offering other than plain pedals.

drill and bolt up? what the heck are you drilling? :)

you have to take off the rubber on the pedals and drill holes into to pedals themselves. Then screw the pedal covers on with screws ;)

BBQ,

I believe we have been through this before.

Robb, I have no idea what you are talking about here. I clearly stated that I Think we should maybe try and do a group buy on these if the interests in these are high before I called the manufacturer about a group buy. If the interests is high, I would be more than glad to get it started but didn't want to call them and talk about it if I was the only one wanting them. I posted on a Sunday night, so far I see 4 people who want them. If we get more, I will call and see what I can get going. Is anyone else interested in a group buy on these pedals?

So far interests have shown these people;

1 - BBQ_HotDogs
2 - expo5.0
3 - JPA1982
4 - Bottomlesspit

Those who bought these pedals....how did the engraved "Explorer" come about? Was this extra, part of the deal, or what? Their site only shows plain pedals. Thanks,
Ken

I don't think the "Explorer" part was extra. I would call them if you are going to place an order since it's not on their site.

Just thought I would update you folks on the status of these pedals.
I e-mailed the company and got a response back today. I asked about the engraving and finish of the pedals. The response stated that these pedals have been discontinued!!!
The salesman gave me a link to the company and told me that a few leftover sets are still available...and still at the group buy price!
I just placed my order. It seems the company likes to use Paypal for payments. He did not say how many sets were left, but it did not sound like very many.
Just some info for those interested in these pedals.
Ken
