Thing on roof

Hello, I just bought an '06 XLT and was looking it over the other day and noticed that there is something on the roof just back from the windshield. It's about 2"x2" kinda dome shaped. Looks like a GPS antenae but I don't have GPS. I'm not sure what it is... any ideas? Thanks...

If your X is so equipped, it could be your satellite radio antenna.

Press the AUX button on your radio until you see SAT1. I'm not sure if Ford was doing it when you bought your X, but they gave us 6 months of free SIRUS Satelite radio.

hmmm... ok so I checked the SAT and yes, I have Sirius satilite radio! And it works! But I didn't subcribe to it... I also didn't buy the XLT new. Am I going to get charged for this? Thanks...

Did you buy it directly from a Ford dealer? If so I would contact them, you may have 6 months free. They should also have a pamphlet that will tell you whats on the different channels, and how to keep it after 6 months if you decide to. If you bought it from a previous owner did they buy it with in the last 6 months?

Will you get charged for it? NO, unless you subscribe on your own as they would have no way to bill it.
