Thinking of buy 95 Explorer...opinions please

Hi. I usually am posting in the Aerostar forum, but now that my 94 needs head gaskets, I am considering just buying another used car. Today I saw a really nice 1995 Explorer..it's a 4 door model so I assume the XL? Anyway, it has 143,000 miles on it, and he is asking $2100. Is that price any good? He said the air doesn't work, but otherwise is good...it has new tires, that much i could see, lol, and the engine was really clean. I would have to have hubby check it out mechanically, but just wondering about the price in general

I got my 00 Eddie Bauer SOHC 4WD decked out with 125k for 2100. Explorers of that age and millage shouldn't go for more then 2k decked out, and without working air Id knock off 300 or more dollars.

Way high, especially in Michigan. No offense to him, but a 95 in Michigan that is probably rusting out under the rocker covers/running boards is a $1,200-$1500 truck. With the air not working, agreed- knock $300 off. The reason he's selling now is because gas is still high, and it's warming up and he knows what it's going to cost him to fix the A/C.
