Not normal but a shi... load closer or you could just regear the diffs to a 4.10/ better yet a 4.56 gear ratio and be good to go.
Instead of buying smaller rims and tires, spend the money on gears. Just a thought.
You could keep the rims and just sell or trade the tires for some 30's or 31's plus cash .
Op says 50 miles a day. Let's say you gain 3 mpg (from 15 to 18) and estimating 3.75/gal you would save about $500 a year in fuel. Gears, install kits, labor, and someone cutting you a deal would be at least a grand. 2 years to recoup the gears at least, more if your mpg gains are less and/or if it costs more to install them.
Now the new gears will be more fun to drive so that's priceless. But from a mileage standpoint it's somewhat of a weak argument.
