I've heard of people clearancing the radius arm in order to have easy access to remove the vertical bolt on the dside of the third member. I have the James Duff LA's and was wandering if I grinded a notch into the radius arm, would this weaken the arm at all or enough to cause any worry of damaging the radius arm?

Don't grind on the arm (yes, that'll create a stress riser in the notch).
Instead, grind the head of the bolt itself into a "D" shape so it'll clear, then feed it in from below rather than above like stock.

Awww... :biggthump I have the front end apart and the bolt is already out. I would only have to grind it to remove the bolt if it were still in place, meaning since I have it out, no grinding necessary? Right? Now, when I replace the bolt, put it in upside down.

Sounds good to me-- bolt goes in/out much easier that way.
