This ever happen to anyone before??

Went to put my truck in park and this is what happened.

never saw the tube break before... also the bolts holding the linkage to the tube are backing out, when you put a new tube and plunger i would locktite the 2 back bolts.

I noticed that on the broken shifter but I forgot to check the replacement I pulled from the JY and I already installed it.

i know on some cars, you can get them with out taking it out, from under the dash above the pedals, just a very very cramped work area.

i cant for the life of me think if you can on the ex, i know e series, f series and crown vic's you can.

just had that happen last month to me also i replaced the 2 linkage bolts with longer bolts and put nuts on the end with loc tite also spray some silicone lube on both ends of thhe shiftrer cable because the less resistance thew better it will be on the shift tube because theyre flimsy
