I want to do the exhaust on my 96 4.0. I had a flowmaster 40(pretty sure it was a 40) on my 94 and thinought it was to quiet for me (if you can beleive that). Does anyone have any expereince with the IMCO single chamber mufflers? I was wondering if anyone had any sound clips of it on a 6 cylinder or even an 8. I would be going with the single in/out. There is a link to them here: http://www.performance-curve.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=382

Wondering what anyones thoughts were on them that had actually used them. Thanks.

Those are copies of the one chamber flowmasters. That muffler wont be much quieter than a straight pipe.

Do you have any experience with this muffler? Sound clips maybe?

I just think that the flowmaster 40 sounds too quiet on a v6 unless the hammer is dropped. I felt so with my 94 4.0 and on my buddies 3.0 V6 in his Mitsubishi pickup.

I had the 1 chamber with single 3" exhaust on my 1990 3.9v6 turbo Dodge Dakota. It was quiet because of the turbo, but sounded good on the v6. I have heard them on a I-6 jeep and it sounded awesome, but I personally love the sound of big I6's.

So they sound good on a v6? I like loud, just want it to sound good as well. I know alot of the 4.6 and 5.4 V8 guys think they have near the perfect sound to them.

Those will be almost as loud as straight pipes honestly. I've heard a Lightning 5.4 with one chamber flowmasters and you could feel it on the ground when he took off. Very loud like I like them though :D
