Thoughts on later model X's...

Heres an update...a local Ford dealer called me about an 05 Eddie Bauer, V8, 4x4, 18,586 on the clock. They quoted my X at $3200, where as the Chev dealer quoted me at $5600. The 05 is listing at $23,995, and claims thats below book. I haven't checked yet. I still owe around $2800 on my current X. Thoughts on these numbers, questions welcome. Their suppose to "work on" getting my trade value higher. mines '00 XLS, 93K on the clock, minor wreck. Repaired, great condition.

I just think 05 is to close to 4th gen model years, I can imagine you'll find a 06 for about the same price or not much more. If I was looking, anything over 20k should be a 4th gen. The reason to go with an "outdated" model is to save money.

My thoughts too, I ran both trucks thru NADA and came up with way different numbers. Mine is "worth" around $5K and the 05 is around $22K. Maybe I'll just keep mine and start buying more toys for it,hehehehe.
