Looking in my new summit catalog I got in the mail, I saw these throttle body spacers, for the X. They are like $80 though. Will this improve performance? Is it worth the cost?

I have installed them on the new TJ's with great results, just haven't gotten around to installing on mine yet. If you don't have a K&N, or KKM, I highly suggest that too long with a cat-back exhaust and you will really notice the difference. As soon as I get 'home' I'll let you know how the spacer works.

hey clark.. "too long with a cat back" whats that mean? I can't make sense of it.. I was wondering about these spacers myself, but I've been told they're expensive

What I meant was " along with a cat back exhaust. This is an exhaust system from the catiletic converter all the way back to the exhaust tip. This will help your engine to breathe better. The more air in, the more air out and at a faster rate equals more power. The spacers range anywhere from $40 to $100 depending on the applicaton. You will get an honest 3-5 hp and 2-3 mpg increase. I have not done this mod just yet because I am still toying with the intake to see where I get the best power, look, and underhood fitment. I have also considered selling the Jo, so we shall see.

ah, well I knew what a cat back was.. I just didn't know what y umeant by that.. but ya, I have a flowmaster 50 dual in/out muffler and new pipes in there, stock cats tho.. and a kkm intake kit, think I could benefit? I'd like a nice cheap upgrade.. the chips seem kinda.. iffy

Can some one post the URL of the spacer's manufacture'r cause i would really like to find one and was told they dont exist for the 4.0 pushrod V6
i just need the name and part # TANKS:D

The only one I saw from Summit was for the 2001 4.0L
