I have just installed a K&N air intake on my 95 Thunderbird, but I'm not sure about something, I hope that you guys have some experience with this and can help me.
The air temperature sensor was inside the old air filter housing, but now the sensor is just laying (installed) next to the new filter without any housing.
Does that sound right to you?
I mean I was thinking that maybe it had to go inside the filter or something like that, but there's not option for that.
If the sensor takes measure of the intake air temperature, what about when the engine gets hot, isn't that going to affect the correct reading of the sensor, now that it does not have any type of housing?
Hope that you understand my question, thank you.
