I just replaced the lower intake gasket on my truck thanks to a blowout and coolant loss...Now today the truck ran and then woud not start after driving it for 30 mins...
I checked fuel pressure[had it], had good compression so checked for spark... Had none....Checked fuses, coilpack connection, and plug wires...Nothing changed...
Then I pulled the crankshaft sensor connector and reconnected it...Got out from under the truck and turned the key...
And the truck roared to life...So my question is what is the interval to change this sensor?
I found the injector seals were completely done and cooked on the bottom of the injectors and the top seals were not any better...In fact they were leaking fuel...
So since I have 52k miles on the new engine in 2+ years is a 2 year interval to replace seals, gaskets, and sensors normal? The truck has never overheated nor given me any trouble until the lower intake gasket blowout and resultant coolant leak...
