I have a 1996 Ford explorer V-8 I am looking for instuctions on how to replace the gasket on the timing chain cover-It has a small anti-freeze leak. Can anyone help?

I am in the same situation. Its seems like a bit of work for the sohc model though since the manual says engine has to be removed

well i am in the same boat as you , i have a 97 mounty , but my leak is pretty large. from all what I read it can be done in the vehicle. pull the fan/rad,/belt, the water pump, remove the timing tab and pull the harmonic balance and you should then be able to remove the timing cover after removing the remaing bolts and if needed there are some front oil pans that you can loosen.
