I just got my FE XLT returned from the garage and the mechanic put the cooling system under the pressure and determined it was a timing chain cover leak(cooling system)anyone know about this?Looking for a mechanic in the ohio area?
Thanks,
Sig Man

This seems to be a common place to leak coolant in our Explorers.
There's two coolant passages that run through the timing cover.
Mine started leaking at about 110K miles. The cure is to replace the
timing cover gaskets (and as BB mentioned, the water pump gasket).
