Timing chain tensioner

Hello I have a question for anyone here I own a 2000 ford explorer 4.0 sohc with 174858 miles I would like to know.
I purchased 2 timing chain tensioner is it recommend to first plunge the tensioner in new oil before installing or I can just install without doing this process thanks
