This thread is to try to save anybody else, from buying the cheap chinese front hubs for our Explorer STs, like I did.
The chinese hub lasted 6 months. It was installed and torqued correctly. It had about 4000 miles on it.
I tried to save a buck $47 vs. $124 for the Timken.
You can see in the pics the difference in the wheel mounting flange thickness. Timken also had a nicer ABS connector and new mounting christmas trees.
Unless you only have $47 to spend, save your money and buy the Timken hubs.
