So once again I ask a rather noob question, but i HAVE searched. I went off roading in WA near MT Ranier this weekend on old overgrown logging trails--have pics and vid--it was AWESOME, but i blew a tire and blew another tire on the way back home. I stopped at the gas station closest to me with a tire shop and purchased some 30" Falken tires. They are decent, but since i needed two tires i just got four for $440. On the trail i could have used about 2-4" more lift and would have been perfect as the bottom rubbed a few times. Money is precious to me as I am a college student and now am wondering what kind of lift would be better for me since i now have 30" tires? I wanted bigger but everything else rubbed. If the install doesn't require much intense install such as cutting welding etc i will be doing it myself.

cheap=body lift

Cheap lift for a first gen would be f150 coils spacers in front and add a leaf and warrior shackles in the rear. All parts can be purchased for less then $150. Use the search for budget lift, war 153, add a leaf or coil spacers and you should find all the info you need. Good luck.

As said above, the cheap lifts are;
suspension lift=F150 spacers under the front coil springs and a combination of 'Add a Leaf' leaf spring and Warrior shackles

Body lift, 2" or 3".

OR a combination of both.

Dreamr is VERY near you, I'm sure he'd be willing to help when the time comes, as would I. :thumbsup:

If you are interested in some 'no body damage' trail running, keep your eyes on the NWX forum. Dreamr and I have been going East of the mountains, North of Cle Elum http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=136138 :D

If you are really brave, you can play with jrgaylor up at Evans Creek on the NW corner of Mt Rainier, on the road to Mowich Lake; http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=138953 :eek:
