tire fitment guide?

anyone know of a tire fitment guide resource on the web? when i worked at an autoparts store years back we had a book that listed tire sizes that could be run on corresponding rims. basically you looked up the rim size you were interested in [ie 15x6] and it listed the size tires you could run on it. been searching for a listing like that online with no luck.

tirerack often has guidelines for each specific tire, and I know bfgoodrich does too. It's best to go to the tire maker's sites.

That being said, a 15x8 rim with 3.75" backspacing is a good all-around rim choice for an Explorer if you're going the offroad route.
