Is it possible that rear tires howl after increasing tire pressure. My tires were low at 25 psi and now at 34 psi but I hear a howling noise in the rear. By the way I replaced the rear wheel bearings 8 months (10,000 miles) ago

I seem to be getting the same thing. One cold morning I had my TPM go off, so I inflated all of the tires to 35 PSI. After that I started to hear a howl, starting about 30 MPH and by the time I hit 45, it goes away. I have Bridgestone Duelers, and plan to check/reduce the tire pressure on a warm day and see if that changes anything.

I've found that tire noise is most noticeable on the smoothest pavement; I have some Chinese-made (I know, I know!!) tires which do produce noise, but it is only really noticeable on new blacktop, other road surface produces enough general road noise that the tire "hum" is "not there". imp
