Tire question

I did a search and couldn't find anything realted, so here goes.

I have a 99 Explorer Sport with the original rims and 255/70/16's on it. I aquired a set of 18 inch rims (that do fit my truck) and would like to get a set of tires for them.

I have a friend at Firestone so I'm going to get 4 Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos which they only have in 265/70/18's.

My question before purchasing them is, will these fit my truck without any rubbing etc? The tires on the rims I aquired are: 245/40/18's. I slapped on my truck already to see what they look like. I think I will have enough space without rubbing, just want to make sure.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks...

your original tires are about 30 inch tires. 245/40r18 are only about 26 inch tires the 265/70r18 are going to be 33 inch tires which will require trimming even if you can fit them. On the tire chart it says that i wouldn't be possible without major fender trimming
