So I decided to go with the General Grabber at2 255/65/17 from the stock size 245/65/17 which isn't a huge increase. However I now notice that my shifting is not as smooth and the points are definitely off. So I may be going to the dealership to reprogram for a larger tire size and obviously set the speedo to the proper speed. I do want some opinions though of those who have upped their tire size and if any of you have had the same issue. Ty in advance.

I've got a lift accommodating 285/70/17 Nittos, and to be honest I don't notice any hesitation or difference in my shifting quality. The speedomoter is off of course, and thus technically so may be the shifting points, but it's smooth and purrs. I don't know if my situation is worth applying since I think it's kind of unusual for that to happen.

I recently just upgraded to 265/75/16's on my sport and noticed that it shifts a little harder too, but not too much more than before. I am interested to find out if it should be reprogrammed as well since I plan on keeping my car long term and want to do my best to maintain it properly.

So after driving a couple of weeks with the bigger tires i noticed that the car drove a lot better and shifted a lot better when i had O/D off, not sure how this relates to it but my car certainly likes me pushing that button everytime i start it up other than on the freeway.
