I have a 1997 Explorer, 2WD, 5 speed. Right now I have 235/75-15's on it but want to go to a wider all-terrain tire for use on the farm. Can anyone tell me what the widest tire is I can mount without running into any problems? And if there is a problem, what can I do? Any help would be greatly appreciated. You can email me at jeffsfirearms@aol.com if you would prefer, thanks guys.

31 x 10.5 x 15 based on a stock 15 x 7 rim. I think you can find this info here but Tire Rack is a good source of info too. Just don't try to order the tires from them.

You can also run a 32x11.5x15 but you probably need to get shackles & crank up on the torsion bars.
