Tire & Wheel Fitment

O.K. here is a question for all the off roadin guys. I have 255/70R16 tires now. What is the widest wheel that I could put on those tires? I have 16x7 now I think, could I go to 16x8? Also what is the widest tire that can go on 16x8? Any info would be helpful! Thanks!

you should beable to run that tire on a 16x8 but I am not 100% certin. I do know you can run a 12.50 width tire on a 8" wide rim.

Thanks for the info, if anyone else knows for certain or has anything else to say let me know!! Also if anyone has a picture of a 01' Sport with American Racing Baja's or Eagle 058 wheels on it I wanna know what its gonna look like.
