I'm getting these 17x8 Enkei RT6s from Discount Tire. They are $185.00 each with a 0 offset which I really like so I don't have to worry about stupid spacers or anything.

I am wrapping them in some 285/60/17 Pirelli Scorpion Zeroes....($151/tire from Tirerack.com)

With a 0 offset I wanted to go with a wider tire b/c there will be no rubbing now.

yanno, i must be so good that everyone wants to copy my setup :)

Whoa now I had these spotted for awhile on Discount Tires but had my heart set on Cobra Rs. I didn't want to deal with all that rubbing crap etc. I think these will be better for the X. BTW, when you first got those Cobra Rs did you sell your stock wheels and tires or just wheels or just tires or what did you do with your stock. Also, did you get a full size tire and if not is it damaging to drive on a 15" spare with the other 3 tires 17" even if you only have to drive a mile or so to a gas station, etc.

i still have my stock tires and wheels (obviously, otherwise what would i drive on now that i got rid of my cobra r's?) i have 265 70 r16's on my stock wheels. if you only have to drive a mile or so to a gas station, youre probably fine - the size of the wheel shouldnt matter, the overall height of the tire is what matters. if youre going with 285 60 r17's on your new rims, you should have a spare thats pretty close to the same height. my 265 70 r16 spare is only 0.1" taller than my pirellis that are going on my new rims, so im fine.

oh yeah, and, you might wanna check out some fender flares, too. the wheels are gonna stick out ~1.5" more than stock wheels, and the 285s are gonna bulge out a little more than that - your stock ones might not cover them totally (your sport has the smaller black flares, right?)

Tbomb,
My stock tire is 235/75/15 on a 15x7... You think I'll be ok...My fenders are the same as yours, BTW...I have a black Sport w/ the grey fender flares or whatever you call them that stick out pretty far.

nah, if you have the gray fender flares, like mine, youll be fine. i just wanted to give a quick heads up, just in case - youre fine, though.
