The biggest Con that I know of, at least here in Texas, is that it would be ILLEGAL and not pass state inspection. :p:

I don't know if it is legal in Puerto Rico or not, probably not, to remove it. What you CAN do is get a Y-pipe from Random Technologies that removes the two small pre-cats on the headpipe and leave the stock single cat. I am told that it will still pass emissions with this setup and give you a bigger power increase than headers will. Removing the main cat will also give you a Check Engine light that won't go away.

It is ilegal, but i seen lot of guys doing it, from ST's to regular car, i just want to know if is increases the performance, thanks for all the info that you guys are providing, any more comments about??

also, i saw on ebay some new headers, does you guys changed them or leave as stock? thanks!!!

Awesome, thanks !!!

I know a few people on the boards who have installed headers. As far as I know JBA Racing is the only company that makes them. All report very little gain and say it's not really worth the cost and effort. It's not that the headers are bad, just that the stock manifolds are pretty good. People who have installed both report better gains with the Random Tech Y-pipe than the headers (and it costs a lot less).
