To V8s Only - How bad does your mileage suffer with short trips?

I don't think you'd loose any power. Running overly rich doesn't help performance. Motors make the most power slightly lean.

Yes, now I remember that from my T-Maxx days. Wouldn't there be any outward sign of running rich? More exhaust, etc?

I dropped the X off at the mechanic again. He said that he's been doing research on the fuel pressure and has received different specs from different sources. One said it should be 35 PSI, the other said it should be between 40 - 60 PSI. His original thought was that the pressure is too high at idle (55PSI).

Does anyone have fuel pressure readings from a 2000 V8?

He's also looking to what controls the pressure but seems to be running out of ideas. He said the truck is running fine but he will do more reasearch. I fear that the 7 - 13 MPG I'm getting is the best I'll ever see :(
 






I have Stock 17" 3.55s 4.6 getting about 250 Miles per tank City driving, or about 11-13mpg. Only 4miles to work.
