The voltage regulator on my 94 Ranger seems to be shorted to ground. I replaced the alternator with a reman unit. As soon as I plugged the connector into the reman, I have the same issue. I'm getting about .1V less than battery voltage on the alternator housing and my ammeter shows a drain of about 22A. I was sure the original voltage regulator was the problem, but since the reman alternator does the same thing I'm a bit confused. Anyone else had this type of problem?
