Too many exhaust choices! HELP!!!

Ok, I've looked at a bunch of posts about cat backs. I need to replace my exhaust, at least from the cat on back, maybe the whole thing. ( I haven't dared look at the whole thing yet, the $ scares me.)

What is a good, basic exh system that will give my X better flow, but won't cost an arm and a leg? Throaty sound is not a big deal for me now. Nice if it comes with the system, but not a necessity.

94 XLT 4.0 auto, 154k, no mods yet, possibly new intake coming, maybe a chip after the stimulus check gets here

p.s. I'm no mechanic, this has got to be easy enough for a newby!

i would go with flowmasters do u want ur x to sound loud and deep or quiet. If u want loud and deep go with the 40 series thats what i got on my sport. And if u want quiet get the 70 series flowmasters.

then go on flowmastermufflers.com the 70 series it the quietest flowmaster. Previous owners put 70 series flowmasters on mine and it sounded very quiet. So i got rid of them and got the 40 series and now it sounds louder and deeper.

well, don't know what green xenons are. are they lights?

I'm on the flowmaster site looking at the stuff, i'll look at the 50's, too.

Go with a Dynomax system. They are nice quality, cheap as dirt (I got mine for $109 a few years ago), and sound good but aren't loud.
