Too much heat

Well I bought the car in the winter and used it mostly for Ice Fishing. Never tried the A/C. The control knob that goes from heat to cool doesn't seem to be working. So I have heat coming out all the time and don't know if the A/c works. Is there a wire that comes off these or something else? And if you have had it fixed at the dealer what would I expect to pay to have this fixed? Thanks for any help. If you know how to fix it and think a fat Old Disabled guy has a chance at fixing it let me know. THANKS

Look up in the sticks, your blend door is broken. Common problem. There are a few ways to fix or replace it. I went in from the bottom, it was fairly easy.
