Had a low speed collision a few days ago. A guy backed into me. Damage is minor. Most noticeable is the FORD badge is pushed in 3/4" of an inch and the license plate holder is a bit squished. one fog light got punched out.
When dealing with the front end bumper is it pretty simple to remove and also possible to hammer back in shape the metal behind the plastic?

A few years back I got smacked much harder in the rear bumper. Had to loosen the bolts and twist it back in place and you could not tell anything happened. Anyhow, the front does not look as simple.

Never had either off but here's a tutorial. If the cover is dented or tweaked I've used a heat gun on the lowest setting from the inside to straighten. Fixed a large dent in a friends Focus rear bumper on the lowest heat setting while slowly moving the gun in a circular pattern. Rolled the dent out with a baseball. Very effective but some paint chipped off the plastic bumper cover. Most of the steel bumper brackets are "L" shaped and can be straightened using a vise and large crescent wrench with a cheater pipe. Heat may also be needed.

Thanks.. That helped. Got time to look a little closer. I think there is more damage as both fog lights are knocked back and down some what.

I recently replaced the front bumper cover on my '01 ST. It was very straight forward. Quite easy.

Tip: Remove the front of the inner fenders (separate pieces) to get access to the bolts that hold the cover to the bottom of the front fenders. Other than that all the screws/bolts are easy to see and get to. The headlights are removed by sliding/lifting the metal tabs you'll see to the rear of the assembly. The parking lights are held in by one screw.

Yep, like koda said, the bumper cover is easy to remove. Also keep in mind the fog lights actually mount a little behind the bumper cover, about a 1/2 to 3/4" or so. And depending on the angle you're looking from, they don't line up exactly with the hole. You probably just need to tweak the brackets that hold the fog lights - or at least the one that's broken.
