Troll

Does anyone know Trolls setup on his ride? Suspension/Tires/Wheels? I know there was a link somewhere to a page about his ride or something...

I wanna know what tires specifically...

My GPS recorded me going 95.5mph as my top speed ever. :) Which is pretty darned scary with 33" Muds and a 5.5" lifted truck shaking like crazy! :D I have 4.56 gears too.

my explorer is stock with 3.73s and 236 75 15s and i have had it way past 85 the needle would lay down to the point that it was to long to go anymore but i kept building up speed i think. btw the needle was between drive and overdrive on the gear selector. my idle is about 3000 at this speed in overdrive on the freeway

Troll had stock suspension with 17 rims and tires with 4.10 gears a chip, supercharger, cam, headers, exhaust, mass air, injectors, roller rockers and a boost gauge. just like this it went 160 on the dyno redlined in fourth gear on the street he got up to over 140 but he can only pretty much guess because the Speedo don't go that high but he has a good idea because of what RPM he was at.

I sure hope Troll has lowered suspension now...

because I would not run an Explorer at 140 mph with the stock height.

OK, OK, ....I just had to post this.... I got mine up to 85 this morning on the way to work.

OK, to tell the whole truth.... I was going downhill...... with the wind at my back.

Im pretty sure Ive got 3.73's, and with my new 31's I hover around 3000rpm with the speedo reading 85, which is actually 88, its not as fast as some of the other trucks, but I just dont see why you would want to go that fast in an exploder. With those kind of rpms the possibilities are up there though.

I got up to 100 today with around 4000 RPMs in third gear, still flooring it; cruising was about 2800 in O/D. Then I backed off and let it drop back down to 80. I could probably get it up to about 130+ now with the blower, but like I said before I don't know how safe I'd feel. 100 however felt fine, no control problems whatsoever. I tell you what, the Eclipse that started it didn't know what hit him, and was still getting up to 100 when I was already decelerating. Oh, my boost gauge is hooked up and I'm making max boost of around 7.5#.

WOW Alec 100 in third gear. That's nice, real nice.

Steve

When doing my dyno run, the technician got above 95 in second gear before he hit the rev limiter.

Ok i have 3.73, with OHV and 30's
Will driving down to Senior Bench Week i was running 90-95 with the C-Control on, and that was on the InterState at around 3,400-3,500 rpm. I got dpwn there in 4 hours and i usually takes 6 hours if that tells you something. I wish i could do that again. But anyway, lata

i go well over 85 on my way to work every day
