howdy guys.
i met some of y'all at the colors run in colorado, i'm one of the stockers, and i'm finally getting around to doing the torsion bar lift on my '98 sport. a few questions about the rear suspension.
1. i want to do an add a leaf. what is a good brand and where is a good place to get them? any special instructions or techniques specifically for adding the springs? (i'm getting a haynes manual)
2. i'm going with edelbrock shocks, what size do i need? how do i measure to find the right size?
3. is the steering affected and if so what can i do to correct it?

i'm not particularly mechanically inclined, however my brother is, and he'll be assisting me with the procedure over xmas at our folks house. any info would be greatly appreciated, especially from those who have done this.

thanks-
devin

Hi Devin,
I can't help you on the "Add-a-Leafs", because I used the Warrior shackles for the back.
As far as the Edlebrocks, just tell them what make and model and they should be able to give you the correct shocks.

I did not have any steering problems when I did the "torquesion bar twist", but you should have the alignment checked out after it's done. It didn't have to be aligned when I took it in to be checked out. Some others here on the board did have to have it aligned. Hope this helps
