2" torsion bar lift

Is the 2" torsion bar lift worth doing? I got a '96 X and i want to get it off the ground, but beings they don't make a suspension lift for it i don't know what to do.

help me out
 






Well you have basically four options.

1. 1, 2, or 3 inch body lift

2.TT/Shackles

3.Modifying trailmaster or superlift kit to fit

4.Heavy fender trimming

I have the TT and shackles....better than nothing I guess.....

As for a Torsion twist lift, Yes, many of us have lifted our trucks that way. Just be aware that 2" is the max you 'can' go. most of us only go ~1.5" because of the lack of down travel after the lift, plus then it matches putting warrior shackles in the back.

If you're looking more lift, say 4", both Trailmaster and Superlift have 4" lifts for the Explorer/Ranger IFS. Seeing as you have a '96 it would require modifiying. There are others on this site can tell you more about these lifts if you're interested.
