Can a TT to lower an Explorer be done flat on the ground without jacking the front?

Whats involved?

Thanks.....

You can adjust the torsion bars with the truck on the ground, but I wouldn't recommend it for an adjustment more than 1/4". It makes it much harder on you, and the rest of the suspension isn't able to adjust properly.

Do not crank on the torsion bars with the weight of the truck. You risk stripping out the bolt.

If you are only lowering the truck you are releasing pressure from the torsion bar and do not need to jack it up. Measure the height first so you know how much you have lowered it. Just back off the blot a few turns and drive arounfd the block. Measure & do it again & again untill you are where , heightwise, you want to be.
