I'm back looking for help. After trying everything I can, I still can't find a solution. I still have a lean code on bank 2. The only thing that I have found is that at a high engine load, 91%-100% whiling towing a 5200lbs trailer, my fuel trims are about the same on both banks. Can this be a cam phaser or solenoid issue???? Is there any way to test for a clogged cat?? I am at a loss here.

Anything, from anyone???? Someone out there must know something.

Air or vacuum leak can cause it to go lean. But why under your conditions I wouldn't know.

You should fill in a detailed signature on you vehicle build including relevant data and someone might think of something.

When I apply a small amount of throttle, my bank 2 trim climbs into the 20's for LTFT. At WOT, both banks are about equal. I have either replaced or swapped to the other side any and everything that involves fuel, spark and exhaust. No joy. I disconnected both cam phaser solenoids to look for change with no luck.

Does it actually cause a problem or are you just looking at numbers?

My check engine light illuminates all the time. I have to get my Ex inspected up here in MA. I can't until I get it fixed. Plus fuel milage is suffering.

Last bank 2 lean code I had was an exhaust leak

That's what I was thinking. I had a couple busted manifold studs so I replaced it. I had a bank 1 lean code a couple years ago, but the manifold replacement fixed it. Everything I have done has done nothing.

I had an exhaust leak right before the bank 2 oxygen sensor at the connection to the catalytic converter. Replaced the gasket at that connection and the code went away.
Pretty easy fix if you haven't already done it

I don't have a gasket there. No gasket on the other side as well. Plus at idle both banks are about equal and below 10%.

Is the rear o2 sensor seated properly? Any corrosion in that area?

I haven't looked there. I didn't think the rear O2 did much.
