I am wanting to replace my 245/70/17 tire on a 2003 Explorer Limited. I am loking to upgrade to a wider tire. Would the following sizes fit the explore and does anyone have any input on these tires?

Toyo Proxes S/T
Option #1: 275/55/17
Option #2: 275/60/17
Option #3: 255/60/17.

Well,.....of the 3, I would go with the 275/60/17, as it's the closest to your stock height of 30.5". The 275/60/17 is 30" high.

As far as Toyo Proxes S/T go, I don't know. But I plan on putting a set of 255/55/18's on my 04 XLS

I am running Toyo Proxses s/t's on my 96 V-8 2wd. 255/55/18's on the front and 275/55/15's on the rear. I also have them on my 94 Lightning. I am running 255/60/17's on the front and 285/60/17's on the rear of it. I am very pleased with them.

I had 255/55/18's when I was lowered and they were great. They wear very slowly and they grip like crazy. Combined with upgraded EE sway bars, edelbrock IAS shocks and being lowered 2", I could out handle many of my friend's cars. They are definately worth the money.

were can i buy some? i have looked at discount and tirerack and they don't carry that brand. i have also tried looking at ntb but the web is not working or something. i have seen these at discount about a year ago but now i don't.
