I wasn't going to comment on this anymore, but Well... speaking bluntly, you are an idiot! (No offense, joking) But that comment is idiotic. You can make all the dumb non-fact based comments you want, but you could also compare a Mustang GT500 vs a Porsche. Double the price and makes the penis feel larger, but the GT500 will blow it away! Period. And that is based on fact. Been proved in many magazine tests. You could also SAY a Ferrari or Lamborghini is better than a Ford GT, but it blew them away in many tests for a third of the cost. But then again "it's just a FORD".

look, i like ford as much as the next guy, because they make the best trucks i think. but their sport/super cars cannot hang with the exotics. the new focus rs is a breath of fresh air.. i dont think we will see it here though

Not quite right... the GT 500 super snake is about 150 grand but then it has 750 hp... even the GT 500 KR is 80k the regular 500 is about 65k. The thing is we as americans have no problem making a car go fast in a straight line but thats just because thats what racing is predominant in america. in Europe there are more narrow street course race tracks and thats what they prefir in a car... personally i like the drag strip and id take a super snake over some fruity lambo any day... or Hell look at the price for the high end super cars... For what ur paying id take the Ford GTX1. 700 hp, Lotus suspension, and about 700 lbs lighter than a corvette. and what about the Saleen S7, or any of the Callaway cars, Or hell look at all the cars from Panoz (especially the Esperante)... we have awesome engineering over here, its just not as greatly recognized because everyone else hates us and refuses to accept that we can be as far up the ladder as they are for alot less money than they are spending. Awesome american cars are out there, you just have to look...

over all thebenz is a sick car. idk maybe he wasnt looking for a fast car or the best car for the money. benz has a good name and history behind them. after all he will be the one driving it.

What dumb non fact based comments did I make? You still want to stand behind the comment that a Taurus is "just as nice" than a C class Mercedes? At least here you are comparing a sports car to a sports car. I never compared Mustangs to anything. Are you comparing the Gt500 to the highest level Porsche makes? Is a Land Rover "Nicer" than my Mounty? Sure, the Land Rover is much better equipped, more heavy duty, and more capable. They are just less reliable. In every other category the Explorer probably takes a back seat. And Explorer's aren't exactly known for being dead reliable. Whose fault is Land Rovers reliability? Ford has to take some blame for that.

hehe I hear ya... I'm 6ft 260lb.

I've seen big guys fit comfortably in a Lotus tho (6'2" ~250lb).

I had a 97 explorer with the AWD and 5.0 and loved it too, that thing had some "get up and go" I miss that one more then my 04!

Both my parents have a benz. Dad has a '07 cls 63 amg white, with 19" lorinser wheels powder coated black. its a beastly car. Those wheels alone ran him $4200, $800 for powdercoating, and $1200 for tires. Mom has a '06 SLK 320 with amg package. Sister has a 2003 Audi A3.

Then I have my beautiful american Ford Explorer! YES! seriously though i love this car
