I am planning on doing the TT/shackle 2" and a # PA body lift, if I were to get a trailmaster kit like this would it add another 4? or how would it work with the TT/shackle and PA lift? Thanks guys, I know you always have the answers for me and are really helping me out lifting my X
And before you reply on that let me add to it, when I got the TT/shackles and 3" PA body lift done if that trailmaster kit wont work then what could I use to get more inches? I figure a suspension lift would give me added inches and the description of that trailmaster kit sounds suspension but it is in the body lift section on www.4wheelparts.com so I'm sorts confused. Thanks
If you do a tt/shackle lift, the Trailmaster 4" would add on to the tt/shackle lift for a total of about 9" of lift. Not to mention the extra lift for the tires you would probably add. I have the Trailmaster 4" on mine with the 3" Pa body lift but no TT or shackle lift. I heard from several mechanics that twisting the torsion bars up like that will put bad strain on your cv joints and cause your front end to go out of alignment even when you get it aligned. But thats up to the Explorer owner. A lot of guys do it on this forum but I think that 7" of lift on mine is just fine. As far as the Trailmaster lift under the body lift section. It will be the suspension lift. If you plan on buying it, check out National Tire and Wheel at WWW.NTWonline.com They were cheaper when I bought mine. Hope this helps.
